  1. So many times, students complete the required math needed to graduate and still have no idea how what they learned applies to real life. This course helps bridge that gap. The first two units (and unit five) offer reviews of basic functions, fractions, decimals and basic geometry before diving into life-applicable topics such as budgets, taxes, insurances, investments, banking, reading graphs, financing and operating a car, shopping, time zone adjustments and more. The only drawback to this course is that the appearance is a little lackluster – there are few illustrations and the font is reminiscent of a typewriter. Other than that, it’s a valuable math course, especially for students wrapping-up their high school studies.
